If you are searching for Illinois public adjuster exam dates in 2026, here is what you need to know: the exam is not offered on fixed state-scheduled dates. Pearson VUE administers the Illinois PA exam on demand at testing centers throughout the state, which means you pick the date that works for you.
ILLINOIS PUBLIC ADJUSTER EXAM DATES 2026 — HOW TO REGISTER
THE EXAM IS ON DEMAND — NOT FIXED DATES
Unlike some state licensing exams that are held on specific dates throughout the year, the Illinois public adjuster exam is available on demand through Pearson VUE. This means you can schedule your exam for any available date at any participating testing center.
Pearson VUE has multiple testing centers in the Chicago area and across Illinois. Availability varies by location and time of year, so we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance — especially if you want to test right after completing a prep class.
HOW TO REGISTER AT PEARSON VUE
- Create a Pearson VUE account — Go to pearsonvue.com and set up your profile. You will need your legal name exactly as it appears on your government ID.
- Search for the Illinois exam — Look for the Illinois Public Adjuster licensing exam in their exam catalog.
- Pay the exam fee — The current fee is $103. Payment is required at registration.
- Select your testing center — Choose the Pearson VUE location most convenient for you. The system will show available dates and time slots.
- Confirm your appointment — You will receive a confirmation email with your testing center address, date, and time. Arrive 30 minutes early.
WHAT TO BRING TO THE TESTING CENTER
Pearson VUE has strict identification requirements. You must bring two forms of ID:
- Primary ID— A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Driver's license, passport, or state ID card all work.
- Secondary ID — A signature-bearing ID. This can be a credit card, debit card, or any ID with your signature on it.
The name on both IDs must match the name on your Pearson VUE registration exactly. If there is a discrepancy, you will not be allowed to test and you will forfeit your exam fee.
WHAT YOU CANNOT BRING
- No calculators — all math must be done by hand or in your head
- No cell phones or electronic devices
- No notes, books, or reference materials
- No food or drinks in the testing room
Pearson VUE provides an erasable notepad and marker at the testing center. You can use this for scratch work during the exam. It must be returned when you finish.
EXAM DAY LOGISTICS
You get 100 multiple-choice questions and 2 hours 45 minutes to complete the exam. You need 70 correct answers (70%) to pass. Your result — pass or fail — is displayed on screen immediately after you submit. You will also receive a printed score report before you leave the testing center.
If you fail, you can reschedule and retake the exam. There is no mandatory waiting period in Illinois, but you will need to pay the $103 fee again.
ADJUSTERS ACADEMY X CLASS DATES — 2026
Our 3-day intensive classes are held in Chicago at 225 E Grand Ave, Suite 215, Chicago, IL 60611. Here are the upcoming dates:
- May 4-6, 2026Enrolling Now
- June 8-10, 2026Enrolling Now
- July 13-15, 2026Enrolling Now
Each class runs 9 AM to 5 PM, all three days. All materials, practice exams, and access to our 300-question adaptive online question bank are included in the $1,995 tuition ($1,750 for RAX Family members).
WHEN TO SCHEDULE YOUR EXAM
We recommend scheduling your Pearson VUE exam 3-5 days after your class ends. This gives you a short window to review your notes and run through the online question bank one more time, while the material is still fresh. Waiting weeks or months after class significantly increases the chance of forgetting critical details.
For example, if you take our May 4-6 class, schedule your exam for May 9 or May 10. Book your Pearson VUE appointment before class starts so the date is locked in and you have something concrete to prepare for.
Every student who has completed our class and taken the exam within this window has passed on the first attempt.
